We are sure that our first delegation to Beijing and Shanghai last year was a successful one which was reflected by the high participation rate and the China major telecom operators and government officials.

China is expecting to be a WTO member by end of the year; she would undoubtedly becoming the key generator helping Hong Kong to build up as an Asia Hub.  A driving force is formed for players in Hong Kong to build up a strong ties with China parties esp. those enterprises along Pearl River Delta.

It is so amazing to see that a tremendous growth of IT & telecom industry along Pearl River Delta are in recent years.  We have found a lot of successful, well-known, large-scale enterprises which mainly specialize in software research and system integration are operated in the region.

In view of above concerns, ITAHK has arranged our second delegation visit to Guangzhou & Shenzhen on November 1 & 2, 2001 aiming to help our members to explore business opportunities and cooperation in forefront.  The delegation has taken a visit respectively to Guangdong Telecommunications Academy, Suntek Group, Guangzhou JinPeng Group and Bureau of Information Industry, Guangdong Province in Guangzhou and Shenzhen Mobile Telecom & its Research Center, Shenzhen Municipality, China Motion Holdings, Huawei Technologies and ZTE Coporation in Shenzhen.  Over 40 members have joined the trip and we hope that a more meaningful visit can be arranged for our members in future.
