Establishment of the Communications Authority:
How it
should be done?

The Commerce
Industry & Technology Bureau recently issued the consultation paper on the
establishment of the Communications Authority. The government proposed to merger
the Broadcasting Authority and Telecommunications Authority into a unified
regulator, namely the Communications Authority, for efficient, effective and
coordinated regulation of a converging electronic communications
sector.
The principal
objective of this important event is to raise awareness within the information
and communications technology (ICT) sector, the broadcasting sector as well as
the general public on:
