Theme of
2010 -Better city, better life with ICTs
The Communications Association of Hong
Kong (CAHK) will launch a series of programs
to celebrate the 4th anniversary of WTISD-HK
in 2010. The working partner this year
is Pui Ching Academy (PCA). PCA have been
providing IT education and training to
students and teachers in Hong Kong for
more than ten years and will facilitate
to coordinate with the schools in promoting
those meaningful activities for our event.
There was a Prizes Presentation &
Launch Ceremony taken place at the Hall,
Pui Ching Academy, 42 Gascoigne Road,
Kowloon. Under Secretary for Commerce
and Economic Development Bureau - Mr.
Gregory SO, and Acting Director-General
of OFTA - Mr. Yung Kuen Ha, had
attended as guest of honors to support
the ceremony.
As co-organizers of WTISD, Chairman of
Communications Association of Hong Kong
(CAHK) - Dr. Hubert Chan and Principal
of Pui Ching Academy - Dr. Shum Kam
Hong officiated the opening ceremony
and shared Hong Kong WTISD programs to
the public.
Right after the sharing, an awards and prizes
were presented to winners of the Creating
Mobile Applications for Smart Phones Competition
in the ceremony, Communication Tour and
Geo-caching Hunting Competition Kick-off
Ceremony was also held. More than 60 celebrities
and representatives of leading ICT companies
and 360 students attended the Ceremony.
In addition, media of 5 companies namely
E-zone and RTHK also attended the ceremony.
