In this Category, contestants should design and implement a creative application and service with business potential.

Contestants can create their application on any internet base applications, mobile devices, models or brands by using any programming language.
But noted that the interoperability of the applications forms 10% of the assessment criterion.

Subject or theme of the application is free of choice. Total file size of the application should NOT exceed 2MB.

Contestants can submit a presentation video with good resolutions NOT exceed 7 minutes, which demonstrates how the application can be implemented in a mobile device.

Contestants are to submit the execution file of the submission and the presentation video shall be burnt into a CD-ROM, with a completed Entry Form which outlines all the required specifications of the submission, to the organizer by post to Communications Association of Hong Kong, GPO Box 13461, Hong Kong, on or before 30 April 2008.

In this Category, contestants should submit a proposal, which is an application design document, outlines the basic application idea and feature to apply on internet bases or mobile devices, which can be a license, a new technology feature or services.

Application Details: The full documentation of the application design details take the reader everything involved from the launch of the game through the exit. All the menu pages and the function of each item should be described and a flow chart should be included so the reader can see all the paths at every decision point.

Control Details: All the functions of the character should be described and show what it looks like. How do the controls map to the buttons of mobile device.

Field Details: Include all the fields and explain in detail how all the displays work and what they look like. Describe all icons in the game, how they function and how they work with the displays.

Development timeline: The schedule of the project which present accurately the development process upon completion of the proposal.

Budget estimation: The estimates of all costs incurred under the proposed application development.

The proposal should be prepared in type-written, English not exceed 3000 words and Chinese not exceed 2000 words.

Contestants are to submit their submissions to the organizer by post to Communications Association of Hong Kong, GPO Box 13461, Hong Kong, on or before 30 April 2008..

All submissions are to be submitted in hard copy format printed on A4-sized paper and with a softcopy burnt into a CD-ROM only. Please keep a copy of your submission.

All the submission of this Category will be put on the official website of “WTISD in Hong Kong 2008”, which to be widely advertised through a famous content portal (now.com.hk), for the public free downloading and apply for daily life. Meanwhile, all entries will be available at Planet 3 portal for 3HK customers’ free downloading. The activity established an exchange platform of ICT innovation for the youngsters across Pan-Pearl River Delta Region and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.

所有参赛作品之执行文件及介绍短片需以光盘形式烧录，连同详尽需求规格的完整入录书一并在二零零八年四月三十日前邮寄到主办机构「香港邮政总局信箱13461号」,「香港通讯业联会」收。所有参赛作品将不予退还，请参赛者自行备份。

在此类别，参赛者需递交一份作品计划书，包括作品创意、制作过程中所需的材料以及作品制成后应用在移动电话上或互联网上的特点，例如专利证书、一项新科技技术特点或一项服务等等。

应用细节：此部分将引导读者了解作品从进入游戏开始到退出的各个环节。参赛者需详细解释作品菜单以及每个项目的细节，读者可以根据此应用细节内容，按照步骤依次了解整个作品。

操控细节：此部分包括所有操作环节的描述与示范，以及作品应用到移动电话上的操作示范。

其它细节：此部分包括除应用细节和操控细节外的作品组成部分的描述与示范，包括游戏中所有符号的描述、功能解释以及这些符号的操作示范。

制作过程时间表：此时间表需详细列出作品从创意阶段到制作过程再到完成阶段的所需时间明细。

预算：所需费用的预计应包括作品制作过程中所有开销。

计划书须以打印本型式递交, 内容不超过3000英文字或2000中文字。

所有参赛者必须将其作品在二零零八年四月三十日前邮寄到主办机构「香港邮政总局信箱13461号」, 「香港通讯业联会」收。

作品必须以一份A4纸打印本形式及一只已储存计划书之光盘提交。所有参赛作品将不予退还，请参赛者自行备份。

而所有作品，更会于赛后陈列于本网站内及连系(now.com.hk)的网站供市民免费浏览及下载，与此同时，3香港客户可于Planet 3手机网站免费下载作品。此项活动并进一步鼓励社会大众将这些有创意的作品在日常生活应用，将融和气氛更进一步推展至整个香港及泛珠三角社会。
