1. Applying for an IP phone service:
Check with your service provider the fixed line quality and reliability. For example, you may want to know if service can be maintained during power cut.


2. Using an IP Phone service:
Since computers or IP phone adaptors are driven by electric power, make sure the power socket is properly and securely plugged in.


3. Requirements for using VOIP service:
  • VOIP service mainly relies on broadband service connection (i.e., disconnection of broadband service will lead to stoppage of VOIP service).
  • Detailed requirements may vary with different service providers. Check relevant information before filing an application for the service.
