• Make sure all conditional call forwarding commands are deactivated before you leave Hong Kong. Otherwise, extra roaming charges will be incurred.


  • Deactivate conditional Call Forwarding function before roaming so as to avoid double charges for a single call.


  • Make every IDD call by dialling the IDD number directly or finding it from your mobile phone book (i.e. with the IDD prefix properly set) to avoid unintentional use of default IDD prefix.


  • When making IDD calls, key in your preferred IDD prefix instead of using the call log record (received/missed call lists) to avoid unintentionally triggering the more expensive calls.


  • If you are near border areas, check the display of network operator before making/answering a call to avoid unintentional roaming charges caused by signal over-spills of mainland operators.


  • Wireless data charge will be incurred when connecting to external websites through a mobile operator’s portal.
