- Before switching to another service provider, you should check with the existing service provider the procedures and service charge arrangements. This will allow enough lead-time for the number porting to take effect, and can avoid short-notice charge/penalty resulting from early termination.
- Provision of mismatched information may result in reject or delay in number porting.
- For service termination, if the telephone/fax numbers are registered with IDD service(s), you should contact respective service provider(s) to terminate the IDD service(s). This will avoid abuse of IDD service(s) by any third party and related charge dispute arising from the telephone/fax service termination.
- To avoid receiving junk fax, you can apply the service feature of “Block-the-Blocker” or request your service provider to put your fax number on the “Not-to-Call-List”. For junk calls, please contact your service provider for investigation.
