To maintain Hong Kong’s position as a regional communications hub, the development of submarine cables from Hong Kong to overseas has been one of CAHK’s key priorities.  Our International Telecom Affairs Group has been conducting internal meetings to address the concerns of our industry. We have also communicated these concerns to the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR(中聯辦)  and Hong Kong representative of the National People’s Congress.   By clarifying the interests of industry players and received interpreting the Central Government’s development policies, we are confident that Hong Kong will thrive in this sector and maintain its competitive edge.
