The 2026 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day - Hong Kong has drawn to a successful close. The Communications Association of Hong Kong (CAHK) is deeply honoured to have served as the Hong Kong host organisation for this global event for 16 consecutive years. Every year, CAHK thoughtfully designs the event programme around the annual theme, and this year was no exception. Under the banner of "Strengthening Resilience in a Connected World," the Association reached out to the wider community—with a particular focus on students and the education sector—to foster greater public understanding of digital resilience.
At the ceremony on 16 May 2026, we were delighted to have Ms. Christine Chim, Assistant Director (Support) of the Office of Communications Authority, as our officiating guest. Together with 8 ICT Education Partners, Academic Partner, Prize Sponsor, Ceremony Venue Sponsor, the Student Proposal Competition judging panel, and Mr. Alex Wong, Event Organising Chairman, in marking this memorable occasion. The programme featured a highlight reel of the ICT Open Day, followed by the presentation of awards to 17 outstanding winners, selected from over 100 entrants in the Student Proposal Competition. The top three winners also took the stage to share their insights and enthusiasm for strengthening digital support within the community.
Special thanks to the Communications Authority, all partners and sponsors for their invaluable support.
